Modular Power

When dealing with power projects, there are many different decisions and concerns that arise during the planning, building, permitting, installation, and commissioning stages. AltaStream is focused on making this process as simple as possible with its modular power packages that can be rapidly integrated on site with minimal site preparation. Power solutions can range significantly in size from a few hundred kilowatts, to many megawatts for power plants or community power stations. A power plant of any scale can be built with many smaller sized generators operating in parallel to supply a central source of electricity. Our modular approach to designing and building power modules and electrical interconnects provide us with the ability to rapidly deploy multiple power packs with synchronization, load sharing, and redundancy in a plug and play installation process. This approach also allows you to reduce capital costs, while still being able to easily expand the plant as your demand grows. Your choice in fuels may depend upon the application. Whenever possible, base load power plants operating in a prime power or continuous power model are typically natural gas fueled to achieve the best operating economics. At the other end of the spectrum, peaking power plants operating for only a few hundred hours per year use diesel fuel to lower capital cost and for ease of use.

• Serviceability: Any single unit can be taken out of service for maintenance while other units remain available ensuring the best possible uptime for the entire plant.
